Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood writer and actor who has received critical recognition for her talent. Sagittarius. Her birthplace was in North Carolina, on 3rd December 1960. She is the oldest out of three kids who were born to Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) as well as Anne Smith, who is a psychologist. The Moore family is English, Scottish and of mixed descent. Moore had a difficult time as her family was constantly moving due to her dad's job. Moore began acting in plays in the year she attended Frankfurt American High School when her family relocated to Germany. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The latter production, for which Moore won numerous awards as well as praise from critics. Moore's debut lead role was as a lead actress in Safe (1995). Steven Spielberg, who was director for Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997 and one of the year's highest grossing films, had Moore cast as the main actress. She was awarded an SAG nomination in 1999 for the role she performed in Magnolia, a critically acclaimed film. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Moore has also appeared in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. Non-Stop was a show that aired in the year 2014. Moore has been featured in numerous films and television series. Moore's most recent appearance as an actress in a major role is In When You Finish saving the World (2022). The actress has established herself as a star in Hollywood and is also an author for children. Her first book Freckleface Strawberry was published in 2007 and became one of the bestsellers on NY Times. The bestseller was later made into a film, a series, and even into a musical. The author has also released her memoir, My Mom's Foreigner, the memoir of 2013. Moore's private life has been revealed as she is a accomplished author and actor. Moore was married to John Robin back in 1984 after which they divorced in 1996. She has two kids and a son with Bart Freundlich whom she later got married in 2003. Moore's primary focus is on her friends, family as well as her career.
